CHRISTMAS IS COMING – AND SO IS THE SPECTACULAR CIRCUS!
Packed with sack loads of ho-ho-ho’s to garland the festive celebrations with the priceless gifts of laughter, excitement and pure family entertainment, GANDEY’S INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS CIRCUS, is returning to Jersey by popular demand.
Already an established must-do-event in the island’s social calendar – specially for the young at heart – the yuletide extravaganza will be performed in the heated Theatre Big Top on the Waterfront in St Helier from Sunday 26th December until Sunday 2nd January.
Hilarious clowns, high-flying aerialists, dare-devil roller-skaters and a host of classic and contemporary circus artistes from all over the world have been personally selected by Director Phillip Gandey specially for Jersey’s International Christmas Circus. Many of them will be appearing for the first time in the Channel Isles.
“This is one of the most important family shows of the year” explained Phillip Gandey. “It is a time when families want to do things together – and what we provide is a spectacular entertainment that can be shared and enjoyed by all ages – from the oldest to the youngest.
“Nothing can match the sheer magic of live entertainment where everything you see really does happen and is not some effect created by computer wizardry. We ensure that everyone in the audience feels they aren’t just detached observers but are very much part of the show. It’s just a great place for the children to let off steam after the more formal and traditional Christmas activities.”
And in the true festive tradition there are some great bargains on offer - book a family ticket and save anything up to £19. So book now - spread the cost – and guarantee the family a feast of festive fun.
Executive Producer, Carol Gandey said she was delighted that the public demand meant they were able to stage an International Christmas Circus at the Waterfront in Jersey for a third successive year. She added that the fully heated Theatre Big Top would be erected on a new and improved site very near to where it had been last year.
So roll up! Roll up - for a fantasy of colour and imaginative performances.
Christmas is a time to reflect on the good things in life. When did you last enjoy the thrill of a real family circus? Do you remember the magic the buzz of anticipation. the heart-pounding excitement the tears of joy and mirth mouth-watering smells of popcorn and candy floss?
Enjoy yourself! The circus is back in town!
Don’t take our word – here’s what the Jersey Evening Post had to say:
For parents in Jersey, it is fantastic that shows like this are coming to the Island during the Christmas holidays – and if the smiles on the faces of the hundreds of children leaving the big top were anything to go by, then there is plenty of demand for Gandey’s Circus to return for a third Christmas next year.
